Haldon Aid Day - March 18th
3 March 2007 |
By billy1979
After recent storms left their mark on Haldon Hill, there has been talk of a big trail building day to help tidy up the trails and create some new lines, and it's true as they have organised the first of many more to come on the 18th March 2007.
Food, shelter and tools will all be provided, you just need to turn up with some decent footwear, appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, waterproofs
in case of the inevitable and a good sprinkling of enthusiasm.
You
must register for the day, as we need to get an an idea of how many people are going to turn up. Numbers are limited to 50, as this is all we have resources for at this time.
To register send an email to
[email protected] with the subject "Haldon Aid" Including your Name, Age, and Time of Arrival (9.30am or 1pm)
For further information contact a Ranger on: 01392 834251
This one is mostly going to be about tidying the place up, cutting in a new line to give us space for another "Black" graded run, replacing some old shore with a stone causeway, and general other bits and bobs.
There's plenty to do anyhow, but most importantly, were hoping its going to be a laugh and it should be a chilled, social gathering, not just bloody hard work.
